Creative Ways To Maximize Small Space With Design

[rt_reading_time label=”Reading Time:” postfix=”minutes” postfix_singular=”minute”]

There are plenty of creative ways to make the best out of a small space.

Using different design tactics can transform any tight room into a useful and functional one.

The main key to doing this is finding items (furniture, shelving, etc.) that have more than one use.

Everything needs to have a purpose and think of every surface as an opportunity.

Don’t be afraid to get creative and do something you think maybe out of the ordinary.

Not everyone may have the space for a full laundry room, but that doesn’t mean you can’t make the most out of what you have.

In this Naperville home, we were able to give the clients more than just a laundry room “closet”.

Stacking the appliances gave us the room to include additional storage with upper and lower cabinets and a sink. Putting a sink in a closet may not be the most traditional thing to do, but it was what worked best in this space and gave the clients a more functional laundry room.

To take advantage of the space even more, you can use hooks or shallow wall shelving on the sidewalls for additional storage.
